LUBExpert Case: Greasing a Cement-Plant Fan Exposed Bearing Failure Early
SDT cement-plant case: calendar greasing dosed 50 g every two weeks. LUBExpert Static cut dose to ~16/14 g and, with rising friction plus vibration, caught cooling-fan bearing failure before unplanned downtime.

Source. SDT Ultrasound case by Torki and vibration analyst Khaled Salman Almarwany — cooling-fan bearings at a cement plant with LUBExpert Static + vibration cross-check.
Before: calendar grease
50 g every two weeks on DE and NDE — no friction feedback. Classic path to over-greasing and missed early defects.
After: LUBExpert Static
With LUBExpert, the last successful task used about 16 g (DE) and 14.4 g (NDE).

DE: friction rose after grease — over-lube or damaged bearing.

NDE: friction dropped, yet LUBExpert still flagged suspected bearing failure.
Vibration confirmation
Spectra showed mechanical looseness. Bearings were replaced on a planned shutdown. Overall RMS fell from 8.2 to 2.7. Four days later, new bearings were greased successfully with the same LUBExpert.

Takeaway
Ultrasound cuts grease use and catches the moment when grease no longer helps — repair is required. Pair lubrication techs with vibration analysts. See grease savings. KEG TRK — LUBExpert demo.
