Overview
The IPLEX G Lite-W is the wind energy variant of the compact IPLEX G Lite videoscope from Olympus (now the Evident brand). In the manufacturer's words, in the cramped quarters of a wind tower nacelle its combination of portability and imaging power makes the job easier.
It weighs 1.16 kg with the battery, so it is easy to carry up the tower. The TaperedFlex probe becomes softer toward the tip and navigates bends inside a gearbox more easily, and a two-stage warning signals high temperature.
