Electrical inspection & partial discharge

Partial discharge in high-voltage switchgear quietly destroys insulation for years - until it triggers an arc flash. SDT ultrasound hears the discharge from a safe distance through the cabinet door, with no panel opening and no power-down.

Electrical inspection & partial discharge

Electrical safety and reliability rarely make it into a predictive maintenance program on equal footing with mechanics - which is a mistake: an arc flash in switchgear is a direct threat to personnel and can shut down a plant area for weeks.

Ultrasound hears what you can't see

Ultrasonic partial discharge monitoring is a fast, contactless and safe way to check the insulation condition of high-voltage switchgear, cable terminations and transformers. The SDT instrument picks up the discharge's acoustic signature through the cabinet's standard ventilation openings - no de-energizing or panel opening required.

Paired with drive electrical diagnostics

Wherever a motor sits in the circuit, switchgear monitoring is complemented by Artesis ESA technology - analysis of the motor's own supply current and voltage. Together, the two methods cover electrical reliability from the switchboard all the way to the motor shaft.
