SDT340 LUBExpert is the flagship mode of the SDT340 multi-sensor platform, combining ultrasonic bearing diagnostics and LUBrain-driven lubrication management in one field instrument. It addresses the leading cause of premature bearing failure - incorrect lubrication - using the same instrument the engineer already carries to diagnose the asset's condition. Per SDT data, fewer than 40% of bearings reach their design life because of over- or under-greasing, not natural material wear.
How it works
SDT340 LUBExpert connects to the bearing via the multi-role RS2T sensor and simultaneously measures ultrasound, vibration, temperature and RPM - the full diagnostic picture of the asset. In lubrication mode, the LUBrain algorithm shows the friction signal's dynamics in real time and guides the operator step by step, recommending a stop before the grease becomes excessive. HSR technology at up to 256 kSa/s and signal recording up to 600 seconds let it work even on slow-speed equipment, where lubrication is traditionally hardest to diagnose.

The standalone portable LUBExpert remains in the line-up as a focused option for lubrication-only programs that don't combine with SDT340 diagnostics.
