Where it is used
Typical tasks
- Gas leaks in explosive zones
- Oil & gas and chemical sites
- Partial discharge at substations
Overview
Crysound CRY2624 ATEX is the explosion-proof version of the CRY2600 series, certified to ATEX (Ex ic IIC T5 Gc) for use in zones with a potentially explosive atmosphere. The camera combines leak detection and partial-discharge detection (with PRPD maps) and is designed for the oil & gas and chemical industries.
An array of 128 MEMS sensors and a range of up to 120 metres allow safe inspection of installations without stopping production.
Key features
- ATEX explosion protection — Ex ic IIC T5 Gc, approved for work in explosive zones.
- 128 MEMS sensors and a range of up to 120 m — precise localisation at distance.
- Partial discharge + PRPD — diagnostics of high-voltage equipment.
- Gas leak detection — critical for oil & gas and chemicals.
- IP54 — protection against dust and splashes.
Applications
- Detecting gas leaks at oil & gas and chemical sites in explosive zones
- Partial-discharge detection at substations and in switchgear
- Preventive diagnostics of process installations
