Overview
The IPLEX GAir is an Olympus (now Evident) videoscope with a long probe: 20 or 30 metres at 8.5 mm diameter. It is used where a standard probe cannot reach: long pipelines, heat exchangers, headers and areas that are unsafe or impossible for people to enter.
A 30-metre probe cannot be steered with cables, so the GAir uses pneumatic articulation: the tip bends 90° in any direction under air pressure from a built-in compressor.
