Overview
The Wi-care 240 is a transmitter module from the Belgian company I-care for continuous machine monitoring and the core of the Wi-care 200 Smart Machinery System. It mounts on a DIN rail, wired vibration sensors connect to it, and data goes to the I-see cloud platform.
Capabilities
- 4 dynamic channels of vibration with simultaneous temperature.
- Smart Tach: two speed inputs up to 20,000 RPM. The module waits until the machine reaches a set speed before collecting data.
- Any sensor with IEPE or voltage output, plus ultrasound and oil sensors.
- Detailed spectrum: up to 80,000 lines on one channel or 20,000 on four, spectrum to 60 kHz.
- I-DNA for early detection of bearing and gear defects.
Scaling
The Wi-care 200 system has no chassis or rack limiting channel count. Each module works on its own or alongside others in a cabinet with a gateway, so the system grows one bearing and one module at a time. For temporary surveys there is the portable Wi-care 200 Expertkit with two modules and 8 channels.

Wi-care 240 and other solutions
For simple constant-speed machines, wireless Wi-care 130 G23 sensors are quicker and cheaper to deploy. For route-based rounds there is the Wi-care PURE G24. For protection of critical turbomachinery, use Bently Nevada systems.
