Description
60M10 (PAV) is a 4-channel dynamic input module in the Orbit 60 lineup for eddy-current proximity probes, accelerometers, and Velomitor velocity sensors with negative bias power. The module accepts the raw signal from sensors already installed on the equipment and passes processed vibration, position, and velocity values into the Orbit 60 chassis for further analysis.
The module installs into an Orbit 60 Series chassis (3U/6U) and works alongside the chassis's control and power modules — 60M01 SIM, 60M02 PPM, and 60M03 CMM — which link the input modules to the upper-level system. Channel configuration, alarm setpoint assignment, and initial diagnostics run through Orbit Studio, while long-term trend analysis and data archiving run through System 1.
Where it's used
60M10 PAV fits equipment where proximity or Velomitor sensors are already installed on the shaft or bearing housing — typically turbines, compressors, pumps, and other critical rotating equipment where negative sensor bias power is the standard (as opposed to positive bias, which on some sites requires a separate module variant).
Compatibility and upgrades
Support for the 3300 XL Proximitor sensor family makes 60M10 a convenient module when migrating from 3500 Series-based systems to Orbit 60: existing wiring and sensors on the equipment stay untouched, and only the signal-processing module in the chassis is upgraded.
